My students enjoyed going into the hall and racing remote controlled cars.  They were measuring velocity and acceleration with the car carrying no weight, 100g, 200g, 300g, and 400g.   They ran several trials at each weight and graphed the average velocity and acceleration.  Then they completed their lab write up evaluating how Newton’s Second Law affects velocity and acceleration.
