PT Demonstration

I used a hand held Tesla Coil to light up a fluorescent light bulb that was not plugged in.  The Tesla Coil creates an electrical field that goes directly into the light and lights up the bulb. The kids were amazed on how far I could carry the light bulb away from the coil without going out.

The kids liked for me to touch the work bench with the coil because they could see the “lightening” and hear the “zapping” of the Tesla Coil.

This demonstration leads into electricity, voltage, ohms, and current.
