Chris - Central Texas

Hi!

My name is Chris Patterson and I assisted in writing the lab portion of the on-line training. I love hands on physics and enjoy teaching this course immensely. My degree is from Texas State University in San Marcos, TX. I have a Bachelor degree in Industrial Technology. After my second year of teaching PT, the program grew so large that another teacher was needed and PT 2 was added to the course guide. This curriculum is great for all learning styles and includes lecture, note taking, videos, and hands on labs. In my three years at Hays High School I have taught PT 1, PT 2, and PIC. I have done almost every lab in both books. If you ever have any questions about a lab feel free to contact me at industrialteched@gmail.com. I have also linked several web sites to give you more information.

Tips:

  • The biggest tip I can give you is to do the labs at least a day or two before your students.

This lets you see potential problems that could pop up. It also gives you a chance to read through the directions because they can be confusing at times.
