Take two styrofoam cups and fill them to the top with water.  Poke a hole at the top of one cup and a hole at the bottom of the other cup. Which stream of water will flow at a higher velocity?

Because the water at the bottom of the cup is under greater pressure, it will flow at a faster rate. It has more force per unit area. Buoyancy is related to the pressure increase with depth.
