Airzooka Demonstration
An Airzooka can either be purchased at a toy store or built cheaply (see http://www.instructables.com/id/air-zooka-medium).
Use the air gun to demonstrate how compressed air travels. You can send a blast of compressed air at students on the other side of the room to wake them up. Help students see the movement of the air by dimming the lights and fill the chamber of the gun with smoke using an incense stick. Alternatively, spray perfume into the chamber and send the scented particles across the room. Relate this movement of air to the transmission of sound (and thus the inability of sound to travel in a vacuum/space).
